Odisha is a state I have visited twice . The first time was a sponsored trip, visiting a resort to write about them, as well as some of the more popular places to visit. I wrote the required content, but never got around to writing about the trip on the blog. This May, I visited Odisha for the second time, this time with family. The timing wasn’t great – it was either raining or it was terribly hot; besides, I wasn’t in the best of health and I couldn’t quite do as much as I liked. Despite all the challenges, it was a pleasure to explore the beautiful heritage of this state, and do things I couldn’t, the first time around. There is much I want to write about – the gorgeous temples, the sculptures, the museums, the natural beauty….. and yet, as I sit down and think about where to begin, there is only one place that I want to start with – the place we stayed at, for one part of our visit – Svanir . The last time I went to Juhu beach must have been about 25 years back.... when I was in school. In fact, this happens to be the first beach I visited when I came to Bombay..... There are, however, few memories I have, about the place, which is why I headed out there in the hot sun, when I had a few hours free during the BlogCamp. Here are a few images from the trip......

ReplyDelete@Aaarti: Neither did I, for so many years....and the same thing happens when i am in chennai... pass by marina so many times, but its been ages since i stopped by.....now i really have to, at least for samhith!
ReplyDelete@Chitra: thanks....its a regular one on the tourist circuit... one of the most popular.. thanks to which it was also the dirtiest..now thanks to local groups, they have somehow managed to clean it up!

ReplyDeleteWhat! Samhith has never been to a beach in Bombay! Wow! This boy has been to hundreds of places on the ECR and the West Coast and has never gone to Juhu Beach! You should take him there very soon!
